Council Tax: 300,000 households have not received £150 council tax rebate – check now | Personal Finance | Finance
All households in council tax bands A to D in England, Scotland and Wales are due a £150 rebate – a measure announced in April to help people pay soaring energy bills.
While millions of people have already received their refund, the Government has extended the deadline until November 30 for the 300,000 people who haven’t yet received their money.
This affects people who don’t pay their council tax by direct debit – they will have to contact their council to tell them how they’d like the refund to be paid.
Anyone who doesn’t know their local council can find out by typing their postcode into GOV.UK.
