There are many “style lessons we can learn from Kate Middleton”, celebrity stylist and fashion coach Miranda Holder claimed. Although the Duchess typically follows Royal Family fashion protocols, there is one important style choice she makes that many others in the spotlight veer away from.
Miranda, a fashion coach who is known for her viral TikTok fashion videos posted under the username @themirandaholder ‘Your Feel Good Fashion Coach’, said: “Despite her position in the public eye, Kate wears many of her outfits on repeat. This sends an important message to the rest of us promoting sustainability in fashion, which is what fashion needs.”
According to Miranda, Kate is urging the public: “Don’t be afraid to recycle your wardrobe.”
The Duchess leads by example, rewearing key pieces to major events throughout the year, showing how you can switch up the styling of a piece to create a brand-new look.
In July of this year, Kate made an appearance at Wimbledon to watch the Women’s Finals from the Royal Box.

The Duchess even shows she is unafraid to wear the glitziest of dresses time and time again, such as an intricately jewelled white and gold gown designed by Alexander McQueen. She first wore the dress on a royal tour of Malaysia in 2012, before later re-wearing the gown for the 2020 BAFTAS.
One of Kate’s top tricks is to simply swap out accessories in order to transform a look altogether. The future Queen Consort has been photographed a major Royal Family gatherings wearing a stunning Emerald green Catherine Walker coat.
She was first spotted wearing the coat for a trip to Ireland in March 2020. However, the simple addition of a black fur trim, black boots and leather gloves helped transform the coat into the perfect garment for a festive outdoor gathering in December of that year.
Miranda added: “We all know the damage fast fashion is doing to the planet, so let’s be like Kate. Buy less, buy better and have fun buying clothes you love and finding new ways of wearing them. “
Kate isn’t the only Royal Family member who is well-known for her love of recycling outfits. Miranda previously told Express.co.uk that Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles is “probably the member of the Royal Family who rewears her clothes the most”.
Miranda explained: “She’s incredibly brazen about it, which I think is wonderful. But it’s very typical of Camilla not giving two hoots about what everyone else thinks.”
It’s a style lesson which has been passed down to the female royals by Queen Elizabeth II herself.
“Sometimes the Queen rewore things,” explained Miranda. “But that would be logged, diarised and organised. Angela Kelly, the Queen’s stylist, is so unbelievably organised with military precision that they would know exactly what was worn and with which accessories.”
