The Last of Us is HBO’s adaptation of the video game of the same name, and we finally have received a good look at the cast and characters of the show.
HBO released posters for the characters Joel, Ellie, Marlene, Tommy, Tess, Bill, Sam, Frank, Henry, Riley, and Sarah.
The characters that have received posters are from the video game. Though some of them have only been mentioned in the game and not shown. It’s also worth noting that there are going to be original characters in the show as well, such as Marlon and Florence. Check out all the 11 posters in the gallery below.
HBO’s The Last of Us is set to premiere on January 15, 2023. The 10-episode series will revolve around the life of Joel and Ellie as they make their way through the country. This is the same setting as the 2013 video game; however, the show will take its own route, separate from the original story.
Game of Thrones actors, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, will play Joel and Ellie, respectively. The show is developed by Emmy-Award winner, Craig Mazin, for his work in critically acclaimed series, Chernobyl, and Neil Druckmann, co-president of Naughty Dog who worked on The Last of Us video game.
The cast will also be joined by Ghost Rider actor Gabriel Luna, who will play Tommy, Joel’s brother Tommy. Merle Dandridge will play resistance leader Marlene and Anna Torv will play Joel’s partner in crime, Tess.
