Samsung is yet to announce the launch dates for its next-generation Galaxy S series smartphones. But, the rumour mill has shredded enough details about the upcoming devices, especially the top-of-the-line Galaxy S23 Ultra. The handset has already surfaced on several certifications and benchmark sites and now it has been spotted on China’s TENAA database.
The latest appearance of the phone reveals almost every single detail about the announcement smartphone. Which includes processor details, camera, connectivity options and more.
Galaxy S23 Ultra: Details revealed by TENAA listing
According to the listing, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have the model number SM-S9180. The handset is expected to feature a 6.8-inch display with 1440 x 3088 pixels resolution. Although the listing does not talk about the display panel, previous rumours have confirmed that the handset may feature the best and brightest display Samsung has to offer.
TENAA listing also reveals the dimensions and weight of the phone. The smartphone is said to weigh 233g and measure 163.4mm x 78.1mm x 8.9mm.
As expected, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest — Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 — chipset. As per the listing, the chipset here will be overclocked to 3.36GHz instead of the regular clock speed of 3.2GHz. The handset is said to come in two RAM options — 8GB and 12GB and it will offer up to 1TB storage options.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will likely feature a similar camera setup as the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This means the smartphone will come with a 108MP sensor, as per the listing. Apart from that, the smartphone will feature a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP sensor at the back. This is a little weird as the Galaxy S22 Ultra features a much better camera setup at the back. Also, the report suggests that the front camera will be replaced by a 12MP sensor compared to the 40MP shooter on Galaxy S22 Ultra.
