Stranger Things is one of the most popular series on Netflix. The show’s hasn’t finished yet, and fans are anticipating the final season that will finally reveal the conclusion of the story.

Now, it seems like Stranger Things will get a spinoff anime series. According to a report from What’s on Netflix, an anime series titled Stranger Things Tokyo has been in development for quite some time. The story follows two video game-loving twin brothers living on the outskirts of 1980s Tokyo who become embroiled in an adventure involving the Upside Down.

Of course, nothing is officially confirmed by Netflix yet. The Duffer Brothers have previously hinted at the possibility of spin-offs, however, so an anime series based on the show doesn’t seem very unlikely.

Before getting your hopes too high up though, it’s important to remember that this is just a rumour. The Stranger Things series is coming to an end soon, so t’s not entirely out of the question that Netflix might be interested in exploring new ways to continue the franchise.

The Duffer Brothers have previously shared that Stranger Things Season 5 will likely be shorter in duration than Season 4. Stranger Things VR will also arrive in winter 2023 where players can take on the role of Vecna and “enact revenge on Eleven and Hawkins.”
