A man was arrested after reportedly trying to break into 21-year-old Billie Eilish’s childhood home in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Los Angeles police say officers arrived at the house at around 9.15pm after a report of man in dark clothingj jumping over a fence.

ABC reports that it is unclear whether any belongings were taken or if anyone was home at the time.

Footage from the news outlet showed police in the home looking for evidence.

No injuries were reported but police indicated that they had taken the suspect into custody.

It is understood that the home is where Bilie Eilish and her brother Finneas grew up and her parents still own the property.

Billie’s brother is also her producer whom she collaborates with on music and live shows.

The seven-time Grammy winner said in 2021 that she still spends many nights in her childhood bedroom to be close to her parents.

She added to Rolling Stone that she only moved out in 2019.

It comes as Billie opened up about her struggles during her teenage years in a new interview with Vogue.

The pop sensation sustained a hip injury aged 13 and after subsequent lower body injuries, she was diagnosed with hypermobility.

She suffered a growth plate injury in her hip, which subsequently meant she could no longer dance.

As a result, she said that she “hated” her body and felt like it was “gaslighting” her.

She told Vogue: “Going through my teenage years of hating myself and all that stupid s***, a lot of it came from my anger toward my body, and how mad I was at how much pain it’s caused me, and how much I’ve lost because of things that happened to it.”

After coming to terms with her injuries, Billie says she had developed a new relationship with her body.

She added: “I felt like my body was gaslighting me for years.

“I had to go through a process of being like, my body is actually me. And it’s not out to get me.”
