A new challenger appears to be entering the Android tablet fray — OnePlus. The manufacturer may not only working on a tablet, but it could also debut very soon, according to a new rumor.

A report from MySmartPrice claims that OnePlus is working on its first-ever Andriod tablet. While the idea of a OnePlus tablet has been circulating for a while, this rumor provides some new information.

According to the outlet’s source, the tablet in question is said to have the codename “Aries” and the official name could be the OnePlus Pad or the OnePlus Tab. Additionally, the rumor claims that the Aries is currently undergoing tests in India.

The report doesn’t mention an exact launch date, however, the rumor does suggest that the device could debut very soon. It could even be unveiled alongside the OnePlus 11R, which could be around June 2023, states MySmartPrice.

Outside of this most recent report, there is not a whole lot of information to go on about the rumored tablet. Back in February 2022, a leak claimed that the device would launch in the first half of that year with Android 12L, which was clearly wrong. Other than that, there have just been leaks here and there claiming the tablet is coming.

Whatever is going on with OnePlus’s tablet, be sure to take this most recent report with a grain of salt.
