GTA Trilogy Could Reportedly Come to Steam Soon According to Updated Listing

Rumours have surfaced in the past about the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy making its way to Steam and Epic Games Store soon. But there are still no announcements or any official indication that the compilation of games is coming to these stores. However, some recent changes to the Steam back-end reveal that the popular gaming storefront is likely to list the GTA Trilogy really soon.

The GTA Trilogy – Definitive Edition includes the original versions of GTA III, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas. It was released in November 2021 to negative reviews. This is because the game at launch came with a lot of bugs, glitches, and overall performance issues (Check out IGN’s review here). Most of these issues were fixed after some major updates.

GTA Trilogy was only available to buy through the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC. However, SteamDB updates to the game have been noticed in the past which indicated an imminent release on the storefront. As spotted by Insider Gaming, a new transaction recorded by the service shows all three games merged into one bundle on Steam. The App IDs in this back-end change indeed belong to the trio of GTA titles in the Trilogy.

It remains to be seen how long it will take for the Trilogy to make its way to Steam and the Epic Games Store. It would be a good move as some players would prefer to own the game on their Steam/Epic library instead of buying straight from Rockstar.
