Jujutsu Kaisen Author Wants to End Manga Before 2024

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the hottest anime and manga franchises right now. Although the creator Gege Akutami is currently working on the manga, he stated that the series could finish as early as the end of 2023.

In the newest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, Akutami shared his plans about the future of the manga. The author stated in a note in the Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #8 that he wishes to bring the story to a close this year.

As the series is immensely popular, fans aren’t exactly keen on Akutami’s plans. Currently, the manga does not even feel like it’s nearing the end, as the story has become exciting with the introduction of a tournament arc. The Current Arc is about Kenjaku as he reveals some vital information about the Culling Game.

However, some do think it’s good that the author has expressed his wish to end the story. It is not exactly rare when a shounen manga goes on for too long and feels dragged out. Since there are a lot of unanswered questions still remaining to get addressed, many fans think it would be unlikely that Jujutsu Kaisen would be able to wrap everything up before 2024 hits in a way that doesn’t feel rushed.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s upcoming chapter, Chapter 211, will release next week.
