Need for Speed Unbound Unveils First Post Launch Content Update Featuring New Challenges, Cars, Rewards, and More

Need for Speed Unbound has unveiled its first post-launch content update, which releases on March 21.

Titled the “Volume 2 update”, the new post-launch content for the Criterion-developed title features new challenges, cars, rewards, playlists, and more.

New challenges in Lakeshore

The streets of Lakeshore in Need for Speed Unbound receive new additions in the form of three new challenges, where players can earn XP and Bank. The game also adds 30 new Hot Lap activities through which players can win stickers, driving effects, and poses.

The developers will introduce two new Rumble playlists featuring three races. Criterion will also bring in four new Endurance events, two new street races, and a couple of new Standard playlists. Existing playlists will undergo a major overhaul as well.

New cars to ride in Need for Speed Unbound

Upon completing the various playlists mentioned above in a Lotus, players can win a Rare Custom Lotus Emira Balmain Edition 2021. Moreover, EA Play members can also earn exclusive rewards like the customizable two-seated Nissan Fairlady ZG 1971, which releases with Volume 2.

Keys to the Map

Criterion will also release the Keys to the Map downloadable content pack, which features locations of all 260 collectibles. This includes the 100 Bears, 80 Billboards, and 80 Street Art spots, alongside the 160 activities that players can take part in to earn rewards. Keys to the Map will also include the exclusive “Fury and Zen” clothing pack, which consists of a Jacket, T-Shirt, Sweatpants, and Cap.
