James Middleton posted a photo with his mother Carole on Instagram on Sunday to celebrate Mother’s Day. This picture was taken at James’s wedding in 2021, where he tied the knot with Alizée Thevenet in the Côte d’Azur.
Only a few wedding pictures of the notoriously private couple have ever been seen.
But now royal fans can see what Carole, 68, wore to her son’s wedding in Bormes-les-Mimosas back in September 2021.
The mother of Kate Middleton wore a stunning dress from Temperley London which cost a whopping £750.
The “multi crochet print V-neck silk dress” is currently on sale with 76 percent off, making it just £180.

The orange, white and blue patterned dress is described as having a deep V-neck, long sleeves and a midi length.
The description says: “Multicoloured silk crochet-print v-neck dress from TEMPERLEY LONDON featuring flared, V-neck, rear zip fastening, long sleeves, mid-length and crochet-print.”
As the picture that James posted only shows from the waist up, it is not clear what shoes Carole wore.
However, she did appear to accessorise with some red dangly earrings, which worked nicely with her orange and white dress.
Alizée dressed differently from James’s sisters Kate and Pippa in a meaningful way.
The Princess of Wales wore a classic dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen with long lace sleeves and a full skirt.
Meanwhile, Pippa wore an ivory dress by British fashion designer Giles Deacon with a high collar and cap sleeves.
In front of their closest friends and family, including Kate and Prince William and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, as well as Pippa Middleton and James Matthews and their children Arthur and Grace, James and Alizée exchanged vows at the town hall.
The newlyweds’ vintage 2CV took them from their ceremony to their beachside celebration at Café Leoube.
According to reports in The Mirror, the Princess of Wales wore a fairly understated dress at her brother’s wedding.
The French mayor claimed this was intentional so that Kate would not “steal the show”.
He said: “The Princess had a long dress of a very light green colour.”
