HoYoverse has announced the release date of the latest expansion for Genshin Impact, bringing the game to Version 3.6 and adding a massive expansion while letting players find a new opportunity to learn more about the prestigious Sumeru Akademiya. The update will also add new Story Quests, a new Trounce Domain (alongside a weekly boss), and a map expansion. The new update will also bring two new playable characters (which were leaked not too long ago) as well.

As you’ve seen, Genshin Impact will have a lot of things for players in store once 3.6 comes up. The biggest highlight is the Akademiya Extravaganza, which lets visitors learn more about the prestigious institute. The Extravaganza will bring forth two major events, the Wisdom Gala and the Interdarshan Championship. Starting with the Wisdom Gala,
A new version of Genshin Impact also means an expansion to the game’s storyline. In it, the representatives of the Six Darshans will compete for the top spot at the Interdashan Championship. Additionally, a new area of wastelands and an oasis has been revealed deep within the desert area. Travelers will have to use creatures known as Pari to be able to fly across this area and discover more about the Khaenri’ah cataclysm that happened 500 years ago.
Baizhu will finally make his playable debut in Genshin Impact as well. This Catalyst character will be able to use the power of Dendro to heal his team with the power of his shields. Meanwhile, Kaveh uses a Claymore and his architectural toolbox known as Mehrak to trigger Dendro Cores, allowing him to be more efficient with Dendro damage. Nahida and Nilou will have their reruns in the first half of the Event Wishes, so you have another chance to get them now.
The dangers of the land will also be expanded in Genshin Impact 3.6 as a new weekly boss will make an appearance. Apep, the Dragon of Verdure, will now appear in the new Trounce Domain as part of the second act of Nahida’s Story Quest. Additionally, we’ll see a new boss enemy as well as an Anemo Hilichurl Rogue and a Hydro Hilichurl Rogue from the Hilichurl family. Genshin Impact 3.6 will arrive on April 12.
