Blackout bulb helps you get a good night’s sleep

Wattever will the bright sparks dream up next? It seems scientists are in their element after conjuring up this anti-light bulb which, it is claimed, can switch a dazzling room into complete darkness.

The designers at 4lite used their imagination for the world’s first Black-Out Bulb, to give poor sleepers a better night’s rest.

Today’s dazzling breakthrough in electronics emits a moody black glow at any time of day – since the incredible invention
is said to eliminate natural light.

Shattered shift workers and night owls will be hoping to enjoy some unbroken daytime sleep with the transparent device, which is timed to go on sale at noon today.

Katie Georgeson, 4lite’s marketing manager, said: “Poor sleep quality is a huge problem for millions, many suffering interrupted sleep patterns due to natural light seeping through curtains.”

She added: “Engineers and technical teams have been working tirelessly to design these never-seen-before Black-Out Bulbs.”

As the days get longer, the idea might just mean it’s curtains for other light-denying devices including drapes, sunglasses and sleep masks.

Some people have even been known to have pulled wool over their eyes to help them stay in the dark.
