Cyberpunk 2077 New Mod Lifts Some Gameplay Restrictions For A More Immersive Experience

0

While Cyberpunk 2077 is a solid open-world role-playing game, the title that released in late 2020 wasn’t the game CD Projekt Red promised before launch, lacking features that would make players completely immersed in Night City. A mod that is now available for download attempts to address the lack of immersive features by lifting certain gameplay restrictions.

The Immersive Cyberpunk City mod, developed by tduality and now available for download from Nexus Mods, introduces a huge number of changes that will make players’ time in Night City feel more immersive. The police mechanics, for example, have been changed drastically, granting policemen better weapons and drones and preventing endless waves of them to spawn after any simple crime has been committed. Maxtac becomes way more lore-friendly as well and a true force to be reckoned with. Additionally, players will be rewarded if they manage to defeat these powerful enemies.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Immersive Cyberpunk City mod also brings tweaks for civilians, who now drop more varied loot, can be hacked, and are capable of using different weapons. Both civilians and policemen also come with different power levels, making them feel more realistic and believable.

While modders are continuing to expand Cyberpunk 2077, developer CD Projekt Red isn’t resting on its laurels either. Next week, the game will receive an RT Overdrive Mode, which will introduce path tracing to the game for much better lighting, as showcased in a gorgeous trailer shared earlier this week. The Polish developer is also hard at work on the Phantom Liberty expansion, which will release before the end of the year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Without being shackled by the hardware limitations of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, it will be very interesting to see how the expansion will set itself apart from the base game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One worldwide. The release date for the Phantom Libery expansion, CDPR’s biggest expansion to date in terms of budget, has yet to be determined.
