A couple visited Mallorca, living out of a van in the hugely popular Spanish tourist spot. The couple, Alex and Emma, created content for their travel YouTube channel Travel Beans where they have a community of over 165K.

They also post travel updates and insights on their Instagram account @Travel_Beans.

Alex and Emma have been travelling full time since 2015.

The couple said: “In this van life video, we explore the lesser-known spots on the island.

“We always thought of Mallorca as just beach resorts so we explore the Spanish island in search of a variety of landscapes.

“This video is a Mallorca travel guide for some of the best nature spots on the island. Our personal favorites were Sa Colabra and Boquer Valley.”

“This is definitely the highlight of the trip for me so far,” Alex said.

“There is definitely something a little bit depressing about driving through the resort towns which are very empty and rundown.

“Whereas this one is a perfect combination of nature meets urbanisation.

“It feels much more lived in versus the other ones, which are clearly there for the tourists.”

Last Alex said: “I have well and truly had my mind changed about Mallorca. It’s not just the beach town full of drunken English I thought it was.”

“I fee like Mallorca is one of the most underrated and overrated places for Britons.”

The village is know for its beauty, and Richard Branson has a luxury home in the town.

It has been home to various musical greats such as Mick Jagger and Mike Oldfield.

The couple also drove to Sa Calobra, a small village on the northwest coasts of the Island.

The village is approach by a winding road with many bends 270° spiral bridge making it an exciting trip for drivers and motorcyclists.

The couple commented on the incredible roads.

Emma said: “I’m gobsmacked who would have through Mallorca is like a ultimate road trip destination.”

They described the roads as “hairpin, figure of eight turns.”

Emma said: “If you are in Mallorca you have to do this drive, it’s a crime not to do this drive.”
