Britons have taken to social media over the last 24 hours to express their frustration with the Royal Mail delays.
Twitter user @ryan53903485 said: “@RoyalMail @RoyalMailHelp We’ve had no mail for at least two weeks in the Liverpool area (L30), others in the area are also experiencing these delays. I’m aware you’re busy at the moment, but there hasn’t been any update on your website. Can you confirm when we can expect post?”
User @roguem wrote: “Yeah they’ve had ridiculous delays at that depot. Most of my post goes there first then onto Northwich so I’m not surprised. However that is beyond a ridiculous delay.”
Bob Shepherd noted that, although his area isn’t listed as an affected area on the Royal Mail website, it is in fact experiencing delays. He said: “Postal Delays – Royal Mail says only a small number of areas have been affected and it’s apologised. Damage limitation fudge. My district isn’t listed and we’ve had four days post in one several times. Two second class packages took 17 and 25 days to arrive recently. #disgrace.”
Andrew Murray-Watson added: “@RoyalMail a customer just received her order today that was shipped on 5 December. Is this a record delay?!”
