Money saving guru Holly uses coupons to save hundreds of pounds every month, posting her tips on her Facebook community Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.
Holly, who posts also her tips on her Instagram account @hollyvlogs, explained how she does it to Express.co.uk.
So, how do you save money in mainstream supermarkets such as Tesco and even Waitrose?
“Well, there are ways you can get at least £30 worth of food free each week and I’m going to tell you how to do this,” Holly said.
“It used to be paper coupons, but now it’s all about cashback apps, and there’s a lot of them.”
The money expert, who recently detailed how to save £1,000 of groceries a year by buying out of date products, has always used coupons to save on her shopping.

“On Shopmium, that’s my favourite, you can select the supermarket you are shopping at. It will then bring up all the offers for that week.
“It will offer 50p off on this and that, or offer a product for free to try, because a lot of brands work with these apps, and they want you to try their new products.”
Users of the app pick the items they want to buy.
Then, Holly explained: “You buy them as normal and then when you get home, you scan the barcode of each item you purchased and scan the receipt and you get the money straight back via PayPal or your bank.
“It’s completely safe and it’s super convenient. You get the money back within a day.”
The expert claimed: “I get about £30 of groceries free every single week using the apps and they’re so much more convenient because you don’t have paper coupons, so you don’t have to faff around checkout.
“You check out as normal and then when you get home you scan the barcode of each product and you scan the receipt to send it off via the app to prove you’re actually bought the items and then you get a rebate.”
Holly went on: “I absolutely love the cashback apps. They are they are brilliant.
“When I’m in Tesco, for example, I know to load up the app to see what I can get for free.
“Almost always there’s always like a free 500ml bottle of something like Pepsi Max.
“It’s nice just to be able to pick up a drink which you’re gonna get for free.”
