After now moving outright ahead of his other two stars, many now regard the Spaniard as the sport’s greatest ever player.

And, despite pledging his support to Djokovic, Tomic agrees with the idea that Nadal is tennis’ ‘GOAT’.

“After this whole situation with Novak … I believe that Rafael Nadal will be ‘GOAT’ [Greatest of all time].

“It will be difficult to restrain him this year. I feel that in the end, they will have the most Grand Slams. Nadal will most likely win Roland Garros as well because he is the best on the tour.

“I love all three of them, Nole and Rafa and Roger, but I think Nadal will go down in history as the best ever. It’s also because I can’t win 25 Grand Slams!”
