There’s a Full Moon every single month and in February it’s in the sign of confident, brave and childlike Leo. A Full Moon is all about cleansing, releasing and letting go of what no longer serves you, and you’ll be doing this with Leo themes this month. Express.co.uk chatted to Moon Mentor and author of Lunar Living: Working with the Magic of the Moon Cycle and Crystals for Self-Care, Kirsty Gallagher (@kirsty_gallagher_ on Instagram) to find out what’s in store for tonight’s Full Moon in Leo.
The Moon is Full in Leo when the Aquarius Sun opposes the Moon in Leo, and it’s an exciting time for us all.
A Full Moon in general is a time of culmination, finishing things and letting go of things you no longer need.
A Full Moon in Leo specifically is about romance, relationships, and balancing the personal with the impersonal.
You’ll be dealing with themes of self-expression, ego, pleasure, friendships, objectivity, independence and teamwork.

The last Cancer Full Moon brought you home for 2022, according to Moon Mentor Kirsty.
After that, we had the Aquarius New Moon on February 1, which asked you to commit to putting your life story into action and moving forwards towards your true north.
Now, the Leo Full Moon is “asking you to open your heart and move towards your purpose and destiny”.
Kirsty said: “This Moon is going to be a powerful, powerful full moon that is here to illuminate your destiny and purpose and move you forwards to where you are meant to go.
“It is the culmination point of the Aquarius New Moon and takes us deeper into the transformation portal that this lunar cycle is offering us.”
You are being asked to let go of your comfort zone this Full Moon.
It’s time to let go of where you stay safe and small, old emotions that trigger responses, sabotages, and the noise in your head that always makes you choose what is old and familiar and safe.
When you do this, Kirsty said you will start to grow, evolve and transform into who you came here to be.
She added: “The Leo Full Moon wants you to be completely and utterly your most authentic self – to feel liberated and fearlessly share your one-off self out into the world.
“To know that within you are unique gifts to the universe that radiate from your heart only.
