Fans have been aching for any sort of Dragonball content they can get, since the end of the Dragon Ball Super series, there has been close to nothing new in the Z universe. The latest bit of content that people have received is the latest Broly movie and some short episodes through Dragon Ball Heroes clips. The anticipation has never been higher for the upcoming Dragon Ball: Super Hero movie.

Toei Animation, the production house for the upcoming Dragon Ball Movie, recently suffered from a cyber attack on their systems, this caused much damaged and resulted in postponing of many of the projects by the production house. According to a report by Comicbook, due to this attack, their Dragon Ball movie release was also put on an indefinite hold.

The release plan for the Dragon Ball: Super Hero movie was set for the latter part of April 2022 in Japan and then looking for a summer release window for North America and the world. These plans were then soiled due to the internal attack they suffered, but the production house was kind enough to provide an updated trailer which you can check out below.

Now according to a tweet by DBSChronicles, which pointed out a report by License Global, it seems like the release plans are going to stay the same as before and Toei will be pushing for the same Summer release window. The report was about the Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure concert which is being held at the Microsoft Theatre at Los Angeles, but towards the end of the report they stated that, “Toei Animation will release its next film, “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero”, this summer.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for this movie to release as they would like to see Goku’s new Ultra Instinct form in action along with the much anticipated, new Ultra Ego form for Vegeta. One more thing that has got the fans excited is that it seems like Gohan will be playing a pivotal role in this movie as his daughter gets kidnapped. Gohan is shown wearing Piccolo’s ensemble which probably hints at him training once again.

Toei has not officially announced any release date and still maintain an indefinite pause for the release of this movie. If the report by License Global is true, then the production house should be announcing an official release date for the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie very soon.
