Shredder’s Revenge Update 1.0.2 Patch Notes For Switch

0

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge was released less than a week ago and now the Nintendo Switch version has received a new update with 1.0.2. This Switch-exclusive update brings some fixes that were plaguing some players on that console only.

The release of the game across multiple platforms has been pretty smooth over the last week, but there is always room for improvement and polishing. This is especially the case in a game that relies on precision like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge does.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a love letter to the classic TMNT beat-em-up games of the past that people know and love. While the TMNT: Cowabunga Collection is still coming later this year, Shredder’s Revenge is an all-new adventure for players of all ages to experience.

The patch notes for Shredder’s Revenge update 1.0.2 were made available directly from the development team through the game’s official Discord channel that anyone can join.

  • Fixed random crashes that occurred at the end of the stages.
  • Improved online stability when dropping in and out.
  • Potential improvement for the “10 min boot” issue faced by some users.
  • Fixed minor issue when posting score in Arcade leaderboards.

As you can see, there is nothing too major in this patch for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge overall. The fixes were little issues that were popping up for some players though, so it’s good that they were patched so quickly.

Probably the most important of the bunch for all players on Switch is the improved online stability when dropping in and out. Having this be as smooth as possible is vital for the core online experience here. The end of the stage crashing is also a very important fix, as playing through a stage only for it to crash can really turn players off of the game.

If you are new to Nintendo Switch updates, they can be handled in a couple of different ways. If you do not have any games currently running and the system is in standby, the game will update automatically as long as that’s how you have your settings. Otherwise, you will have to force the update by trying to start the game, where you will be prompted to update before starting.
