After JugJugg Jeeyo, Anil Kapoor and Varun Dhawan want to reunite for a David Dhawan remake?
JugJugg Jeeyo arrived in theatres a few days ago and it gave fans an incredible cast line-up to watch out for. Starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, the film is a family comedy. While it hasn’t been long since its release, it looks like Anil and Varun will reunite for another project.
According to reports in a leading news portal, when Varun Dhawan was asked which film featuring Anil Kapoor he would like to star in, Anil said that Varun should feature in Deewana Mastana which was directed by his father David Dhawan. The latter also said that the two should do it together.
Deewana Mastana which was released in 1997, saw Anil Kapoor, Govinda and Juhi Chawla in pivotal roles. The film revolved around a psychiatrist who was pursued by a patient and a small-time crook.
In JugJugg Jeeyo, Varun Dhawan played Kuku while Anil Kapoor played his father Bheem. The film opened to good reviews. Varun is attached to star in Bawaal alongside Janhvi Kapoor while Anil is set to star in Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s Fighter.
