Return Of The In-Person Events

This year has seen a welcome return for in-person events in the print and packaging sectors, and the next few months will see many industry favourites opening their doors once again. Here are the top five, in order of date:

1. PRIMA

6th-7th September, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

As Europe’s top event for the fibre value chain, PRIMA brings together a huge range of businesses and organisations, from forestry, minerals and chemicals companies to pulp and paper makers, merchants, publishers, printers, and packaging producers. With a speaker line-up that features the CEOs of Sappi Europe, Norske Skog, and The Navigator Company, as well as a series of intriguing discussions and workshops, this event will bring you bang up to date with the entire European paper industry.

2. The Print Show

20th-22nd September, NEC, Birmingham

One of the main events in the print calendar, The Print Show returns to the NEC in Birmingham for three days of inspirational presentations, discussions, exhibitions and new technology, all entirely dedicated to the print industry. Things to look out for include the Two Sides stand, where we will be explaining how we promote the sustainability of print, paper and paper packaging, and the ‘Diversification Zone’, an area that offers expert insight into the industry’s key expansion growth areas.

3. London Packaging Week

21st-22nd September, Olympia, London

Previously known as Packaging Innovations & Luxury Packaging London, this two-day event has been rebranded for its 10th year. Spread over two floors of the Olympia in London, the event comprises four exhibitions – Packaging Première for the luxury products market; PCD for perfume, make-up and toiletries; PLD for premium and luxury drinks; and Food & Consumer Pack for food – as well as three seminar stages and three galleries to showcase a vast range of groundbreaking packaging design.

4. Power Of Print Seminar

1st November, Stationers’ Hall, London

After two years of being online, the Two Sides Power of Print Seminar returns to Stationers’ Hall in London – just in time for the legendary venue to show off its £7.5m renovation work. The Seminar will feature a fascinating line-up of speakers from the print, paper, packaging and sustainability industries, as well as an exclusive three-course dinner in the evening featuring a well-known industry figure to give the after-dinner speech. 5. Sustainability In Packaging Europe

1st-4th November, Barcelona, Spain

A little further afield, the Sustainability in Packaging Europe event promises to be well worth attending thanks to over 50 speakers from companies such as H&M, Tesco, Diageo, Kellogg’s, Nestlé, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. While many of the presentations and panels are available online, the live event also features a lively schedule of roundtable discussions and workshops, as well as a packed exhibition hall.
