The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) announced the list of 19 exhibitor companies that will be joining the Tokyo Game Show VR 2022 today, and Kojima Productions, the developer of Death Stranding, was shown to be participating for the first time. The official Twitter account has also confirmed the news.

Tokyo Game Show VR 2022 is a VR event that will be held in a virtual space in conjunction with the Tokyo Game Show. Participants can operate an avatar to freely walk around the venue and enjoy various exhibits. This is the second time this event is to be held. Last year, many ways to enjoy virtual exhibitions with the theme of ‘connection’ were implemented, and although it was held for the first time, there were more than 200,000 visitors on-site, 98% of which said they would be glad to participate again.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

This year, the theme of Tokyo Game Show VR 2022 is Dungeon, a familiar motif in video games. Taking into account the feedback from the last year, the host plans to deliver an experience that can only be realized virtually, where the game show itself can be enjoyed as a game and convey the feeling of diving into an unknown adventure. The official website for this year’s event is also now open to the public.

The list of participating companies includes: Imcreate, Cover, Capcom, Ministry of the Environment, Character Bank, Gugenka, Koei Tecmo Games, Kojima Productions, KONAMI, Savios, Square Enix, Sega/Atlas, Dyscronia: CA, VARK, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Pole Twine, Magic: The Gathering and Metaani. There is no entry fee, but it will be necessary to install a special application from the official website. The event will be compatible with Windows, Meta Quest 2, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Valve Index, and will be hosted on September 15-18 this year.

Attack On Titan VR on the exhibition of last year’s Tokyo Game Show

In Last Year’s Tokyo Game Show VR, players could interact with a virtual display of Rathalos from Monster Hunter Stories 2, and try out the Attack on Titan VR attraction that lets you relieve the iconic Final Recapture Operation of Wall Maria from the famous anime. The amount of involvement of each developer and publisher is still unknown, but the website will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
