Kate Middleton shuns Princess Beatrice and Lady Louise’s favourite accessory

Lady Louise Windsor is following in Prince William and Kate Middleton’s footsteps as it has been announced that the royal will be attending St. Andrews University come September to study English. However, while the Queen’s grandchild may walk in the Duchess’ academic footsteps, it’s Princess Beatrice who she resembles in terms of style.

She accessorised with a Sophie Habsburg Chenille clutch in red, that was previously spotted on her mother, Sophie Wessex.

The royal went for nude slingback shoes with a chunky heel.

Ever elegant, she kept her makeup to a minimum, and wore her hair in pretty curls.

She topped off the look with some simple gold jewellery.

But Lady Louise wasn’t the first royal to sport some fabulous headgear during the Jubilee celebrations.

Just one day before, in celebration of the Queen at Trooping the Colour, Princess Beatrice was spotted wearing a huge headband.

The royal was pictured by a window looking after the Cambridge children, George, Charlotte and Louis.

Royal fans could not help but spot her incredible headpiece, which was adorned with pearls and what appeared to be diamonds.

At the Service of Thanksgiving for her late grandfather, Prince Philip, on March 29, she wore a suede burgundy headband with deep red flowers and an elegant netting.

Speaking of this accessory, a spokesperson from Karen Millen explained that Kate may have ditched this type of accessory because she “does not want to divert too much attention away from the main focus of the event”.

When Kate is in out in public at an engagement, the popular royal and what she wears often becomes the focal point.

Celebrity stylist and The Feel Good Fashion Coach Miranda Holder suggested that this accessory has “no place in her wardrobe” nowadays, whereas Beatrice’s “instantly recognisable” look can be credited partly to her “trademark headbands”.
