Valorant Update 5.04 brings New Crosshairs and Bug Fixes

Valorant’s latest update has released before Episode 5 Act II. The new episode will bring a fresh battlepass, competitive reset, a completely free event pass to celebrate Champions 2022, and finally a new skinline, all that has been elaborated in their trailer for Dimension: Act II. Before releasing the new update, Valorant has released the patch 5.04 to bring some quality of life updates to crosshairs and fix some bugs. Check out the Valorant 5.04 patch notes below:

GAME SYSTEM

  • Added the ability to select a custom crosshair color.
  • Go to Settings >> Crosshair >> Primary, Aim Down Sights, or Sniper Scope
  • On the drop down menu for color, select Custom and input the Hex Code (6-digit RGB) value of desired color
  • If a non-Hex code is entered, crosshair will revert to the previous color.
  • Added the ability to independently tune horizontal and vertical crosshair lines.Go to Settings >> Crosshair >> Primary or Aim Down Sights >> Inner/Outer Length
  • Disabling the middle “chain” icon enables independent tuning.
  • Left slider is for horizontal line and the right slider is for the vertical line.
  • Added the ability to copy spectating player’s crosshair settings
  • When spectating another player, type “/crosshair copy” or “/cc” to import the crosshair of the player you are spectating and save it as a new crosshair profile
  • Increased the number of crosshair profiles available from 10 to 15

BUGS

  • Fixed a bug where Yoru’s Gatecrash would sometimes leave floor markers in incorrect locations

How to set custom crosshair?

Since the update has released, many players are still confused as to how to change their crosshair. This can be done in very simple steps that players can find below:

  • Start up the game and reach the home screen
  • After the game is open, move towards top right-hand corner of the screen and select gear icon.
  • After that the players have to select the Settings option.
  • Here you will find Crosshair tab open that.
  • Here you have to look for the Primary tab.
  • Then select the Crosshair Color and a drop-down menu should open.
  • Look for the “Custom” option and click on it.
  • Once it is open, the player can feed in a Hexadecimal code/number of their choice and they will get their desired colour.
