Princess Charlene, 44, attended a service of prayer and commemoration for the late Queen Elizabeth II, who sadly died on September 8 at the age of 96. The service took place at St Paul’s Anglican Church in Monaco. The event was attended by Menna Rawlings, a British diplomat serving as British Ambassador to France and Monaco.

Ms Rawlings captured the photos of the Prince and Princess of Monaco and posted the pictures on her social media pages.

She captioned the photos with: “I was honoured to participate in a service of prayer and commemoration for HM Queen Elizabeth II at St Paul’s Anglican Church in Monaco.

“We are so grateful for the support of H.S.H. Prince Albert, H.S.H. Princess Charlene and all Monégasques at this sad time.”

The Princess wore an Akris Official knit dress with a square knit intarsia pattern.

This dress cost a whopping €2,890 or roughly £2,529.

The description on the website says: “Be bold. The square intarsia pattern is the highlight of this long knit dress.

“The stretch material makes it comfortable to wear and durable.

“Wear them from morning meetings to late-night dinner dates.”

Charlene wore minimal makeup for the sombre church service. This included pale pink lipstick and an otherwise natural-looking base.

The Princess put out an emotional statement earlier this week after the news broke that Queen Elizabeth had died.

She said: “I am deeply saddened at the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a truly great lady whose dedication and service was recognised throughout the world during the 70 years of her reign. Today, my thoughts are with her family, her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren and the British people.”
