Since the Queen died on September 8, royal women have opted for pearl jewellery in tribute to the Queen at public outings.
For a service at Westminster Hall on Wednesday to mark the Queen’s lying-in-state, Kate wore a pearl and diamond leaf brooch that once belonged to the monarch.
Kate also wore the Collingwood pearl earrings, believed to be a favourite of the Princess, which once belonged to the late Princess Diana.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex also wore a pair of classic pearl earrings for the service.
The modest studs were thought to have been gifted by the Queen to Meghan when she joined the Royal Family in 2018.
