On Monday, September 19, London will be crammed with politicians, foreign dignitaries and mourners as the nation says goodbye to Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. The new King will be hosting a historic reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of the Queen’s funeral, and many foreign royals are expected to attend.

Which royals will attend the Queen’s funeral?

All of the Queen’s children and grandchildren are expected to attend her state funeral on September 19.

This includes King Charles III, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward and their respective spouses.

The Queen’s eight grandchildren are Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn.

Royal spouses likely to attend include Kate, Princess of Wales, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Mike Tindall, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank.

At the moment, it is not clear if all of the Queen’s 12 great-grandchildren will attend.

Other royals we can expect to attend are the Queen’s niece and nephew, Lady Sarah Chatto and the Earl of Snowdon, whose mother was the late Princess Margaret.

The Queen’s cousins may also attend with their families, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra, Prince Michael of Kent and Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester.
