Known as Loro Piana Elias trousers, they were described as “soft, lightweight pants made from stretch cashmere flannel” before going out of stock.

At the time, the trousers retailed for an outstanding £1,680 and royal fans seemed to love Meghan’s outfit.

For instance, Twitter user @Jmarie0407 said: “I need Meghan to wear more red because it looks absolutely stunning on her.”

DON’T MISS:

Although Meghan paired the trousers with a matching £4,269.80 cashmere coat, Princess Charlene opted otherwise for Thursday’s occasion.

Instead, Charlene wore a black cotton stretch blouse from Akris, a favourite brand of the royal.

It is described as a “long sleeve cotton stretch blouse with notch collar detail and snap front closure”.

This blouse sells for 660 euros, or roughly £580.

Royal fan @angelrebel548 wrote on Instagram regarding Charlene’s outfit: “Princess Charlene of Monaco is a charm.”

Fashion expert Harriet Davey previously spoke to Express.co.uk regarding the Duchess of Sussex’s outfit choice in September 2021.

The expert said this outfit looked “dominant”.

Harriet added: “Lady in red, Meghan, makes a case for autumn tonal dressing in this berry ensemble by Loro Piana.

“Standing out in the dominant punchy red outfit, Meghan joins husband Harry in Harlem in the two-piece.”

How was it different from Meghan’s previous outfits?

Harriet explained: “It was different from her outfits over the past few years, but not deviating too far from her staple style.

“The slouchy fit has an off-duty vibe that compliments her new life away from royal engagements and structured, rule-abiding outfits that fit in with the Royal Family’s dress code.”
