A Place In The Sun presenter Craig Rowe addresses show ‘rivalry’ with co-stars | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV
A Place In The Sun newcomer Craig Rowe is no stranger to finding the perfect home after maintaining his own extensive property portfolio. The Channel 4 presenter, whose first episode aired earlier this month, has touched on a possible “rivalry” amongst his co-stars.
The Bristol-born presenter has joined the likes of Laura Hamilton, Jasmine Harman, Jonnie Irwin and Scarlette Douglas just to name a few, in a bid to help house hunters find their dream property either abroad.
When quizzed about the competition, Craig admitted that is not the case with his fellow colleagues.
The Channel 4 star explained that the property experts want the house hunters to have a “happy ending” and that is their main focus for the programme.
He added that the presenters don’t receive a commission if a buyer decides to purchase a property.

When quizzed about show rivalry, he explained: “I never thought about it.
“We don’t get commission or anything. A lot of people have asked me. If my house hunters buy a property do I get commission? No, I don’t.
“All we do is show them the properties. We don’t get involved in the actual transaction of the sale.”
He continued: “So in a way, because there is no commission involved, there is no reason to have a rivalry.
The on-screen expert recalled a moment he had one of his shirts stolen while filming.
The incident took place while the property expert had been busy chatting with the Spanish locals.
Craig explained: “On my first shoot, I had a shirt stolen from a tree.
“I always try and have two shirts because we film over the course of three days.”
The Channel 4 presenter explained that he often has two shirts while shooting the programme – one is for when he views properties and the second is for when he chats with the house hunters about their final decision.
He continued: “I try and have two of everything, so throughout the week you can change. You often haven’t got time to do laundry and stuff.”
