Airtel has revised its Rs 399 plan to give a tough fight to its closest rivals-Jio. The company is now offering more data and validity to its prepaid users with this plan. Customers can now avail 1GB 3G/ 4G data, unlimited local, national, and roaming calls, and 100 SMS per day for 84 days in Airtel 399 plan, which means now you can get 84GB data at the same price.
However, Airtel is offering the new benefits under the Rs 399 plan to select customers as of now. Earlier the Airtel 399 plan was offering 1GB 3G/ 4G data, unlimited local, national, and roaming calls, and 100 SMS per day for 70 days.
The new Airtel Rs 399 plan will take on the Jio Rs 399 plan. The Jio Rs 399 plan offering 1GB 4G data, unlimited VoLTE calls (local, national, and roaming), and 100 SMS per day for a validity of 84 days.
While both the operators offer more or less the same benefits, Jio users get an extra benefit. After exceeding the high-speed data limit Jio users can continue using the internet at a reduced speed of 64kbps without any extra charges, but in case of Airtel, charges are deducted from the main balance.
Apart from this, Airtel has also revamped the Rs 149 plan, it is now offering 1GB data and unlimited calls and 100SMS per day for 28 days. While Jio Rs 149 plan offers 1GB data per day which totals to 28GB data for a validity of 28 days, in addition to unlimited 4G VoLTE calls (local, national, and roaming) and 100 SMS.
