Alcatel U5 HD with 4G VoLTE Smartphone Launched in India at Rs 5999

Alcatel on Wednesday has launched the Alcatel U5 HD, entry level smartphone in India. The smartphone comes with the price tag of Rs. 5,999 and will be available to purchase via Flipkart exclusively in Metallic Black and Metallic Gold color options.

The main highlights of the smartphone are premium looking metallic design, front flash for taking awesome selfies and 4G VoLTE connectivity in a budget price. To recall, the smartphone is first unveiled MWC 2017 in Barcelona.

Coming on specifications, the Alcatel U5 HD runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and sports a 5” HD (1280×720 pixels) display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.25 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 64-bit SoC coupled with Mali T720 GPU. It offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

As for the photography, the Alcatel U5 HD comes loaded with a 13MP rear camera along with LED flash for better low light capturing. On the front there is an 8MP front facing camera that too comes with LED flash support and selfie editing apps.

The smartphone is fueled by a 2200mAh battery which is rated to give up to 4 hours of talk time and lasts up to 200 hours on standby. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port
