Android Nougat for Samsung Galaxy On Nxt 64GB Rolled out in India

Samsung has officially rolled out the Android Nougat 7.0 update for its Galaxy On Nxt smartphone in India. The software firmware version for this update is G610FXXU1BQH8 with a file size of around 1.1GB. Notably, as of now, the update is limited for 64GB variant only; we are expecting that the Samsung will soon roll out the update for 32GB variant as well.

To recall, the smartphone was originally launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The new update brings a new user interface design for better user experience as well as features like Dual Messenger and Samsung Pass.

The Android 7.0 Nougat brings in a bunch of new features including Always On Display, split-screen multitasking, more customisable quick settings, quick setting toggles, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications, and recent applications window, ‘Double Tap’ on the Recent button to switch between the two most recent apps, and ‘Doze on the go’ which will extend battery life. Further more the update brings bug fixes and stability improvements to the smartphones. The update also includes the Dual Messenger feature that lets you setup two accounts of a social networking site.

As the OTA update is sized around 1.1GB so we suggest you to charge your phone at least 50 percent and 2GB of free space available to run the update smoothly. As is usually the case with OTA roll outs, it may take time for the update to hit your device. So be patient and keep an eye on your notification. Meanwhile you can also manually check for the update by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update.
