Apple iOS 12.1 Beta Update Bringing 70 New Emojis, eSIM Support, Group FaceTime and Fix Charging issue

0

Apple just started rolling out the iOS 12.1 beta two for the developers and public users who have already registered for the Beta program. This new update brings a lot of new features such as more than 70 new emojis, group FaceTime with up to 32 people, and the eSIM support which needs to be supported by your carrier. The update has also fixed the weird charging bug on few iPhones and iPads that’s recently happened on a lot of iPhone and iPad users.

The charging bug is a problematic one as some of the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max units refused to charge until you woke them up. For a slight problem, you only need a tap on the screen to make the devices to start charging. But for the worst case scenario, other people found that the only solution for their device is to unplug the Lightning cable and then plug it back in again.

Another good feature from the update is 70 new emojis which will be available to iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac devices. These new emojis include new characters with red hair, grey hair and curly hair, a new emoji for bald people, and a lot more.

This new update also introduced the eSIM support for the iPhone XS and XS Max. With this feature, you can use and activate a cellular plan from a carrier without the need for a physical SIM card, but this can only work if your carrier supports this new feature.

There is also a new real-time Depth Control feature, this will let you adjust the depth of field of your Portrait Mode photos before capturing them. The current feature in iOS 12 is that it will only allow you to edit the depth control after you click the photo. But now, just by tapping the F-icon at the top of the screen while capturing a photo will let you use the Depth Control to adjust the amount of background blur in an image.

One more interesting thing about the update is to bring back the Group FaceTime feature that was previously removed from the iOS 12. The Group FaceTime will let iPhone and Mac users to make video and audio chats/conversations with up to 32 participants at one time.

We can get a hand of these great features soon when the iOS 12.1 will be released to the public. Make sure to stay connected with TechnoCodex to get all the latest updates.
