Archos Saphir 50X Rugged Phone with 4000mAh Battery Goes Official
Archos, a France-based electronics manufacturer has launched a new rugged smartphone with military-grade specifications dubbed as Archos Saphir 50X. The smartphone comes with the price tag of €149.99($184/ Rs. 11900 approx.). Pre-orders of the smartphone have already started while it is expected to start shipping in coming days.
The company has developed the Saphir 50X keeping sports-oriented users in mind. It comes with IP68 certification for dust-resistant and water-resistant for up to 30 minutes, and the ability to withstand drops from almost 3 1/2 feet. with military-grade specifications
The Archos Saphir 50X runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and sports a 5” HD (1280 x 720 pixels) LCD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor coupled with Mali-T720MP2 GPU. It offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
For photography, the Archos Saphir 50X sports a 13MP primary camera with LED flash support for better lowlight capturing. Camera features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection. On the front, it has a 5MP selfie shooter.
The Archos Saphir 50X is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, FM radio and a micro USB 2.0 port with OTG support. It measures 146.6 x 76 x 13 mm and weighs 210 grams.
