0
Google’s ARCore is a software development kit (SDK) which is managed by the tech giant. This platform enables developers to build apps that feature augmented reality (AR). ARCore is also known as the Google Play Services for AR. According to a report by Android Police, Google has now expanded its list of ARCore-supported devices. Earlier, the company added ARCore support to the Samsung Galaxy S23 series and a few latest Pixel models. Now, Google has added 21 more devices to the ARCore support list.
How Google ARCore works
ARCore helps developers to add a layer of computer-generated data over a feed showing the real world using AR.
For example, Google Maps’ Live View feature works with the help of ARCore. It works when the user is walking with this feature enabled. Users will be able to see CGI arrows appear on their display. These arrows are layered over a real-world feed from their phone’s rear camera.
