Arsenal will undoubtedly be keen to see Aubameyang return to full health and fitness, with a barren squad leading to the postponement of Sunday’s north London derby. 

Bodies in attack would also be welcomed by boss Mikel Arteta, who sanctioned the loan departure of youngster Folarin Balogun and could yet lose Eddie Nketiah before the month is out. 

Aubameyang has not featured for Arsenal since a 2-1 defeat at Goodison Park on December 6. 

A disciplinary breach led to public criticism by Arteta and the club, while others suggested that the 32-year-old could soon be on his way out of the Emirates.
