Asus ROG Phone 2 Live Images Surfaced Online, Confirmed to be powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC

Asus is being ready to launch its next-generation gaming phone, the Asus ROG Phone 2 on July 23 in China. While the company is getting ready for the launch of this phone, some fresh images of Asus ROG 2 have been surfaced online revealing the complete design of the phone. 

These fresh images of Asus ROG Phone 2 have been leaked online on the Chinese microblog website, Weibo. The leaked images show the front panel of the Asus ROG Phone 2. In the leaked images, it seems that the ROG Phone 2 will come with thick bezels at the top as well as the bottom. The design of this phone is as similar to that of its predecessor. 

The display of this phone is long and doesn’t come with any type of notch. The selfie camera on the smartphone is located in the top-right corner. The other image shows the option to choose between the three refresh rates – 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz. 

Furthermore, the ROG Phone 2 will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC that was announced yesterday. The 855 Plus has a clock rate of 2.96GHz which is 4.2% faster than the current Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. The Adreno 640 GPU delivers 15% faster graphics performance than the current Snapdragon 855 chipset.

Apart from this, there is no detail shared online regarding the specifications of the ROG Phone 2. As for the availability, the Asus ROG Phone 2 will reportedly come in two variants, with the base model having a price tag of RMB 4,399 (approx Rs 44,300).
