Asus has launched a new ZenBook Pro series laptop, the ZenBook Pro UX550VE. The new ZenBook Pro UX550VE is priced at $1,699 in the US. The company claims that Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VE is the “fastest, thinnest, and lightest ZenBook Pro” ever made.
The new Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VE comes with 15.6” full-HD (1080p) display with 178-degree wide-view technology. It features 7.3mm narrow bezels with 83 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display supports 10-point multi-touch input, along with Asus Pen style which needs to purchase separately.
Coming on technical specifications, The Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VE comes equipped with seventh generation quad-core 2.8GHz Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor with a Turboo Boost up to 3.8GHz. For graphics there is a 4GB GDDR5 VRAM Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphic card. It offers 16GB of DDR4 RAM and PCIE NVMe 512GB of solid state drive storage. It also features a 0.3MP VGA camera for video calling.
Connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C ports and two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, Bluetooth, and dual-band Wi-Fi. There is also a fingerprint scanner which uses Windows Hello unlocking method.
Other features of the laptop include fast-charging – Asus says that the laptop can be charged up to 60 percent in just 49 minutes and giver up to 14 hours for basic operations on a single charge. The Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VE laptop also features dual-fan cooling system, which the company claims can keep the laptop’s external temperature to 2.35-degree Celsius cooler than its previous generation model.
