People could claim Attendance Allowance if they need help with personal care, for example, getting dressed, eating or drinking, getting in and out of bed, bathing or showering and going to the toilet.

People can also apply if they have difficulties with personal tasks, for example, if they take a person a long time, a person experiences pain or if they need physical help, such as a chair to lean on.

The support payment does not cover mobility needs.
