Ayan Mukerji’s dream project Brahmastra with an ensemble cast has been envisioned and in the making for close to a decade now. The film has been postponing its release date multiple times by now, however, it is finally releasing in September this year.
Ayan and his good friend Ranbir Kapoor who is also the lead actor of Brahmastra recently came in attendance for a cricket event. It was a LIVE stream and the dynamic duo was asked a couple of questions while at it. One of the questions aimed at the director was to choose a cricketer to cast in Brahmastra if given a choice. Ayan replied without any hesitation that he would choose Virat Kohli.
He went on to give justification for the same to a leading daily, “All my answers related to cricket are always about Virat Kohli. Brahmastra needs a true superstar spirit, so I would cast Virat Kohli.”
Brahmastra has Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Mouni Roy, and Amitabh Bachchan playing pivotal roles and releases on September 9, 2022.
