Barcelona are reportedly keeping their cards close to their chest heading into the summer transfer window but reports in Spain claim to have uncovered six players who have made it onto Ronald Koeman’s wishlist.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool targets are all among those Koeman wants to take to the Nou Camp at the end of the season.
It will be the first full summer transfer window the Dutchman will have in charge of the club.
And he is deparate to strengthen the spine of his team with a new centre-back, central midfielder and striker.
It is common knowledge that Eric Garcia wants to return to Spain to join the Catalan side after turning down a contract extension with Manchester City.
The highly-rated 20-year-old defender is one of the six players Sport claims Barcelona want to sign.
Another is Liverpool star Gini Wijnaldum, who Jurgen Klopp desperately trying to keep at Anfield.
The ex-Newcastle man is in the final few months of his contract and has been offered an extension on Merseyside.
He has yet to decide if he wants to leave Anfield to link up with his fellow countryman Koeman in La Liga.
Liverpool are still working hard behind the scenes to try and tie their Premier League and Champions League winner down to a longer deal.
Meanwhile, there are four options on Koeman’s list as they hunt a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez, who joined Atletico Madrid last summer.
Top of the bill is Erling Haaland, who has scored 37 goals in 38 games for Borussia Dortmund this season.
The Bundesliga side issued a defiant statement last week insisting that the 20-year-old is not for sale.
United and Chelsea are expected to try and test Dortmund’s resolve at the end of the season.
But their task will become all the more difficult if Barca join the race.
A much cheaper option that Koeman is considering is Manchester City’s departing forward Sergio Aguero, according to Sport.
The Argentine is set to leave the Etihad Stadium as a free agent but he has proven this year that he still has that magic touch in front of goal.
A third attacking player wanted is Lyon star Memphis Depay, who was the top target last summer.
And finally Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez completes the six-man shortlist.
