Flipkart is gearing up for the upcoming festive season. The company has already announced the Big Billion Day sale. As a run-up to the sale, Flipkart has revamped its mobile app. The company has added some new sections and features to the app to enhance shoppers’ experience. This is the second big update that Flipkart app has received this year. Earlier this year, Flipkart made the grocery section more prominent on its home page. The company has divided the home page of the app into two sections — Flipkart and Grocery.
Here are four new features included in the Flipkart app
Brand Mall mode — for better shopping experience
Brand Mall aims to help users find products from popular brands at discounted prices. The ‘Brand Mall Mode’ mode can be activated by tapping on the toggle at the top right section of the Flipkart app homepage which will change the user interface to a dark mode with bigger icons and pictures.

Image search: Find what you are looking for by sharing photos
The image search aims to help shoppers to find a product of their choice by sharing an image.
Customers just need to take a screenshot of the outfit or item they are looking for and upload it on the app by clicking on the ‘Camera’ icon. The search engine will then look for either exact or similar products.
Virtual Try-On: Try a product virtually before buying
Flipkart has added a new ‘Try On’ feature that aims to help users to try a product virtually before buying. The option is located at the bottom right corner of the image gallery. After enabling the camera and gallery access, users can opt for a ‘Live’ Try-On or by uploading a selfie to see how a product would look on them virtually, as well as save the image to share across other apps. It enables users to virtually try on beauty products.
