BlackBerry Motion With 5.5” Full-HD Display and 4000mAh Battery Launched

TCL Communication, the maker of BlackBerry branded smartphones has launched a new full touchscreen smartphone, the BlackBerry Motion at the GITEX Tech Week Dubai. The smartphone comes with the price tag of AED 1,699 (Rs 30,218 approx.) in the Middle East and will be available to purchase from late in October.

The new Smartphone from from TCL comes with various BlackBerry security features which include DTEK security suite feature on the device, and it also features support for FIPS 140-2 Full Disk Encryption, Android For Work, and Google Play for Work features. Also there are several interesting unique features. There is “Smart Convenience Key” feature which allow customers to instantly launch an apps or any other function as required.

Coming on specifications, the BlackBerry Motion runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system, company has said that the smartphone will update to the latest Android 8.0 Oreo as well. The device sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD (720×1280 pixels) display with DragonTrail Glass protection. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It offers 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.

For photography, the BlackBerry Motion features a 12MP primary rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. It can record 4K videos at 30fps. On the front, there is an 8MP front facing camera with selfie flash.

The smartphone is fueled by a 4000mAh non-removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4GVoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, USB Type-C port and GPS. There is fingerprint scanner embedded in home button with BlackBerry logo engraved on it. The phone also comes with IP67 certification for water and dust resistant.
