According to trade analysts, ‘Brahmastra’, which was released on 5,000 screens in India and over 9,000 screens worldwide, has earned around ₹400 crore in gross box office collections globally and ₹210 crore in net box office collections in India.
However, the collection is not enough for a breakeven as the cost alone of the film is over ₹420 crore. The film was in the making for over six years, and its release date was delayed and pushed multiple times due to the pandemic.
“Brahmastra has been a riveting success for the Hindi film industry after a long wait,” said Ashish Saksena, COO-Cinemas, BookMyShow. “With the movie clocking strong advance sales from the get-go, it has been the best ever for a Hindi film post the pandemic.”
