Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel’s fiery temper threatened to boil over just before half-time of his side’s closely-contested London derby with Tottenham. The atmosphere inside Stamford Bridge was cranked up a notch when Harry Kane’s opener was controversially ruled out by referee Paul Tierney for an alleged push on Thiago Silva.

The Brazilian appeared to go to ground easily after a small push from the Tottenham forward, who controlled and slotted the ball past Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Although the goal was chalked off, it was a clear wake up call for Chelsea, who had applied the pressure throughout the majority of the first-half.

As Callum Hudson-Odoi then tried to take on Japhet Tanganga, the defender appeared to grab the winger’s shirt, leaving Tuchel incensed.

“What the f***!” The angry German yelled at the fourth official.

After the break, Kane and his Tottenham team-mates continued their protests over the disallowed goal.

The England captain was adamant the opener should of stood and at the time, he did not even consider the idea of his strike being ruled out.

Gary Neville and Martin Tyler were in agreement that the foul seemed soft.

In the Sky Sports studio, Roy Keane was willing to stick his neck out and claim the referee got this one right.
