Sony has been breaking ground at the moment by upgrading their PlayStation Plus subscription. According to their plans, PlayStation Plus will be merging with PlayStation Now and the players will be provided with 3 new Tiers of subscription. The 3 new Tiers are PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium.
PlayStation Plus Essential is the Original PSN subscription, the new features come with the other two tiers, Extra and Premium. Extra adds a vast library of PS4 and PS5 games for the players to enjoy. Premium is even more exciting as players will able to try out 350 games from the previous generations such as PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP.
PlayStation Plus Premium has caught every player’s attention as it will allow them to relive their glory years by replaying the classic titles that they have enjoyed on the previous generations of the console. One concern that players had with the subscription is that which games will be added to the library upon release, and a recent leak sheds some light on 5 games that might arrive on release.
This leak comes from a renowned reddit user, r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, in the leak it stated there will be 5 new PS1 titles that will be added to the PlayStation Plus Premium Tier. These Titles include the likes of Tekken 2, Ridge Racers 2, Mr Driller, Worms World Party and Worms Armageddon.
Tekken 2, Ridge Racers 2 and Mr Driller are considered to be classics on the original PlayStation 1 and fans will be delighted to see the return of these iconic games. All of these titles have been developed by Bandai Namco and it seems like a new partnership might be under the works.
PlayStation Plus Premium is supposed to provide a library of 350 games from previous generations, so it will be interesting to see what games pop up before the release of the subscription tiers on June 22, 2022.
