Ever since the last few days, there has been one news which has become the talk of the town and also the subject matter of discussion amongst the media as well as the social media. Well… you guessed it right! We are indeed talking about the much-speculated grand wedding of Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty alongwith the Indian team’s ace cricketer K L Rahul. The date has been confirmed as January 23. The time will be around evening.

Mid Day Online managed to get in touch with one of the leading paps, who needs absolutely no introduction. Strictly on the condition of anonymity, did the pap give out ‘confirmed details’ about the wedding. To begin with, the pap said, true to the speculations all over, the wedding is indeed happening. The venue which has been chosen for the wedding is Suniel Shetty’s palatial farmhouse in Khandala named ‘Jahaan’.
The pap continued, “We have already made our bookings for the wedding. In that sense, we have booked a hotel which is very near to the wedding venue, so that it is extremely easy for us to click photographs of the celebrities who will be attending the wedding. We all are trained enough to spot the arrival of any celebrity from a long distance. That’s why, to the best of our abilities, we will try not to miss clicking even a single celebrity. All our camera lenses are trained to click the celebrities in a jiffy. And, as far as the Athiya-Rahul wedding is concerned, we will not hamper or hinder the proceedings in any manner. We, as paps, do understand that weddings are extremely personal and private affair”.
The pap further revealed, ‘What we have got to now is that, Suniel Shetty’s ‘Jahaan’ has scenic gardens, arresting interiors, swimming pool etc… There are nearly two huge statues of Lord Buddha which adorn the house. The interiors have exclusive wooden flooring, which complements the other furniture. Ever since the time the news got spread in the media, the nearby hotel bookings are already overflowing with customers, who have booked with a hope of getting a glimpse of their favourite stars in real life, who, otherwise, have only seen them on TV or silver screens.

And as for the guest list, even though I cannot officially confirm any name. At the same time, what we do know is that, invitations have been extended to the likes of Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, who have (from what we got to know) will be attending the wedding. There is a pending confirmation from Jackie Shroff, which will happen soon. And from the world of cricket, it will be the awesome trio of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya whom we hear have confirmed to make it to the wedding.
When we asked the pap to divulge some details about the food and the menu, pat came the reply, “Arre Boss! It’s after all the wedding at Anna’s (as Suniel Shety is fondly called) family. And since Anna hails from Mangalore and he himself has ‘hands-on’ experience of being in the hospitality business, every single minute detail about the food is being looked into with a ‘microscopic vision’. From what we hear, the menu has been designed keeping in mind the two families and their respective tastes. Amidst all this, one thing is for sure that, besides the delicious Mangalorean delicacies, it has also been ensured that the menu should have something or the other that will cater to the taste of the taste buds of the guests. Which is why, one will surely find a mix of various cuisines. From what we hear, the caterers have been told to look into the catering extremely carefully and ensure that the food should be prepared and served in such a way that the guests should ‘ungliyaan chaat te reh jaane chaahiye”.
The icing on the cake are the return gifts, which the guests will be treated to while they leave the wedding. Just as when we managed to ask the pap about the return gifts, the meeting was interrupted by a sudden call, which the pap said, “was too important to be missed”. And when we probed a bit, the pap immediately said, “I have given you almost all the details. Now, let’s wait for the wedding and bless the awesome couple”.
