On Monday night, actor Dhanush announced separation from wife Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth after 18 years of togetherness. Both Dhanush and Aishwaryaa shared their separation notes on their respective social media profiles.
Dhanush shared the note on Twitter. The note read, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this. Aishwaryaa also shared the same note on her Instagram profile and captioned it as, “No caption needed…only your understanding n your love necessary!”
Aishwaryaa, daughter of Rajinikanth, and Dhanush tied the knot in 2004. The couple has two sons, Yatra and Linga, born in 2004 and 2006 respectively.
Aishwaryaa is a filmmaker and has directed films like 3 and Vai Raja Vai. Dhanush is a well-established actor and was recently seen in Aanand L Rai’s Atrangi Re alongside Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar.
